Jaw-Dropping X-Men Cosplay Is a Flawless Team-Up of God-Tier Costumes
The X-Men have some of the most well-designed character costumes in all of Marvel Comics, with a new cosplay image bringing them to vibrant life.
An epic image shared by over a dozen of the talented creators, photographers, and designers of the piece, it isn’t often this many cosplayers come together to collaborate on a joint project, with the level of professionalism in both the final image and each costume being something that needs to be seen to be believed.
Edited together from other images and given a flashy movie poster-esque design by the prolific Soumik (@pixelens._), the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil have never looked better, with this post making a case for being the best X-Men cosplay of the year.
The X-Men and Brotherhood of Evil Unite in MCU-Ready Cosplay Poster Design
Cosplay Designs and Photography by Multiple Creative Talents with Photo Edit by @pixelens._
First battling it out in 1964’s X-Men #4, by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil are two sides of the same coin. And while their methods are vastly different in how they go about their respective missions, their want to keep mutantkind safe is still the same. Premiering multiple iterations of the Brotherhood and the X-Men over the years — including the slightly tweaked rosters seen in this image — the X-Men and the Brotherhood made their live-action debut in 2000’s X-Men, kick-starting a movie franchise that’s still going strong to this day.
Using a striking blue and orange color scheme that pops against a white background, Soumik arranges nineteen assorted heroes and villains around the piece to form a subtle “X” at the center, with the addition of other photoshopped elements like Storm’s lightning, Dark Phoenix’s fire, and Psylocke’s energy sword, upping the production value of this image considerably. Featuring characters ranging from tried and true X-Men members like Cyclops, Rogue, Jubilee, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine to iconic X-villains like Magneto, Sabertooth, Mystique, Toad, and Omega Red, this entire cosplay group is firing on all cylinders and deserves to be recognized for it.
The X-Men and Brotherhood of Evil Ready for Battle in Epic Cosplay Image
While it’s a sure bet the X-Men will tussle with Magneto and some of the villains featured here in their eventual MCU debut, it remains to be seen if the team will deal with each foe individually or, once Magneto establishes his presence as a real threat, take on a fully rostered team of enemies ready and willing to start a war that neither side will forget. Regardless of how the MCU introduces these iconic Marvel characters, fans can always turn to the cosplay community to get their live-action X-Men fix, especially with these incredible creative talents on the case.
